Our wedding policy is simple compared to many others. Our aim is to allow you great flexibility in planning your special day without a lot of unnecessary requirements or rules from us. We ask simply that weddings at Redeemer not include anything that would disrespect the Christian faith of our Presbyterian congregation.

A Big Celebration
For large wedding parties with up to 350 guests, we offer our wedding venue for $2,500. This package includes use of the sanctuary for 4 hours, bride’s dressing room and groom’s waiting room, ceremony coordinator, a one hour rehearsal, sound technician for microphones, parking, and custodian. All 50 parking spaces are available for weekend events.
An Intimate Affair
For small weddings with up to 25 guests, we offer our wedding venue for $1,000 on weekdays and $1,200 on weekends or holidays. This package includes use of the sanctuary for 2 hours, bride’s dressing room and groom’s waiting room for those 2 hours, ceremony coordinator, parking, and custodian. All 50 parking spaces are available for weekend events and evenings.
- Music– Your ceremony coordinator can offer contact information for local musicians. You are also welcome to use our wonderful Hook & Hastings pipe organ or our piano for your wedding. If you would like our sound technician to cue recorded music at different times during your ceremony, the added cost is $75.
- Pastor– The cost for a Redeemer pastor is $350 (including rehearsal), or you may utilize a pastor of your own choosing.
Renewing Your Wedding Vows If you would like to renew your vows in our beautiful, historic chapel, the cost is $350 on weekdays and $600 on weekends or holidays. This package includes use of the sanctuary for 1 hour, parking, and custodian. The use of a Redeemer pastor for your vow renewal is an additional $350. All 50 parking spaces are available for weekend and evening events.
Receptions and Rehearsal Dinners Our fellowship hall, next to the sanctuary, makes a convenient and lovely location for wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners for up to 100 guests. With its old wooden floors, 20-ft tall windows, spacious stage, adjacent kitchen, elevator access, and 50 free parking spaces, you’ll have everything you need, except the food. The rental for 6 hours (including set-up/clean-up) for a wedding reception is $1,400, and 4 hours for a rehearsal dinner is $950. (Alcohol is limited to ceremonial toasting).
A security deposit of $500 will be returned when the room in left in good condition, with all debris removed and all our tables/chairs returned or picked up by rental agency. Additional time may be purchased for $200/hour.
The lovely courtyard may be rented for smaller, outdoor receptions for a fee of $600 for 6 hours. A $300 security deposit will be returned when the area is left in good condition.
*Please note: on Saturdays, on-site receptions must end and the room be vacated by 10:00pm so the room can be prepared for Sunday morning activities. Also, a residential noise ordinance precludes loud music on the premises.
Deposit and Reservations Please call or email us to reserve your date and time, guaranteeing it with a security deposit at that time. The security deposit ($1,000 for the Big Celebration and $500 for the Intimate Affair) is returned in full within 15 days following your event, if the wedding policy is upheld during your event and there is no damage to the church.

Odds and Ends
Full payment is due 90 days prior to the wedding date.
All fees should be made payable to Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
Throwing of rice, birdseed, confetti, or glitter outside the church is not allowed. Guests may shower the couple with bubbles or flower petals if arrangements have been made to remove the outside petals within 24 hours. Sparklers are allowed outside only, trashcans provided.
City Ordinance prohibits smoking in public buildings. Smoking is prohibited on Church property. We thank you for respecting this beautiful space.
All children shall be under the supervision of an adult while on church property.
Decorations may be attached in such a way as not to leave any marks or damage. The use of glue, tape, tacks, staples or nails is prohibited in or on our church property. Pew clips may be used to attach decorations to pews. All decorative items except flower arrangements shall be removed immediately after the ceremony. You may leave flower arrangements if desired. Any other materials left in the church by your event should be removed right after the ceremony unless you have made other arrangements with our ceremony coordinator. You are responsible for leaving the church facilities in the same condition in which they were found. Church furnishings may not be removed.
Candles must be smokeless and dripless with protective coverings under them so no damage occurs to church furnishings or table cloths.
We are not responsible for storage or safeguarding gifts, food or beverages,
personal belongings, or vehicles while in, on, or around the church property.
Unless there is a death or serious illness of the bride or groom, or act of God, cancellations within 90 days shall result in forfeiture of fees.
We are not responsible for any injury, damages or expenses, incurred by any person to themselves, others, or church property including but not limited to caterers, and other vendors. Your vendors must carry their own liability insurance. Please provide our coordinator with proof of insurance for vendors 30 days prior to your wedding.
Marriages at Redeemer Presbyterian Church must adhere to South Carolina law. Obtain your marriage license in SC and provide one copy to our ceremony coordinator two weeks prior to your wedding. You must provide your marriage license prior to the service.
Weddings and receptions at Redeemer shall not include anything that would disrespect the Christian faith of its Presbyterian congregation.
